Let's Get Moving Landscape

Melton Sport and Health Alliance is proud to sit within the Healthy and Active Communities Team at Melton Borough Council.

Our mission is simple but powerful – to support and inspire residents across the Melton borough to lead more active, healthier lives.

We are dedicated to delivering a wide range of physical activity, health and wellbeing services, designed to create more opportunities for everyone in our community to be more physically active. Whether it's structured programmes, community initiatives or raising awareness of national campaigns, everything we do is aimed at making movement easier and accessible for all and helping to break down barriers.

Working together for a healthier Melton

We know that lasting change happens when we work together. We actively engage with our local communities and partner with organisations that share our goals. Some of our key partners include, Everyone Active, Active Together, Latham House Medical Practice and lots of local instructors and sports clubs – all of whom help us extend our reach and impact across the borough.

Inspiring people to be more active, more often

At the heart of our work is our clear message, we want to inspire more people to be more active, more often. Whether this is joining a local walking group, sports club or participating in community based physical activity sessions, every step counts towards building a healthier, more active community. We also encourage people to take advantage of green and open spaces in our borough such as parks and trails which offer accessible, enjoyable ways to stay active and boosting your wellbeing.

Supporting all ages, at all stages

From early childhood to later life, we support residents through every stage of their wellbeing journey. We work with children to help provide the best possible start to life, building lifelong habits that support their mental and physical health. Our work continues right the way through to older adults, where we focus on reducing inactivity and building confidence, helping adults to live longer, healthier lives.
